West Chester, OH – West Chester Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (WCCPAAA) is joining the Light Ohio Blue campaign to show and generate support for law enforcement personnel serving on the West Chester Police Department.
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day. The Light Ohio Blue campaign coincides with activities associated with Police Week. This year Light Ohio Blue is May 9-16, 2021.
West Chester Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association encourages residents of West Chester Township to show support for West Chester Police Department by participating in Light Ohio Blue. Light up exterior porch lights with a blue bulb, place a blue ribbon on your mailbox, or wear blue on May 15.
West Chester Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association is making free blue bulbs available to the first 50 West Chester residents or CPA Alumni requesting a blue bulb from Batteries Plus Bulbs located at 7431 Tylersville Road, West Chester, OH 45069. Free blue bulbs are limited to one per household and are only available while supplies last.
