A new WCPD Officer will be sworn in on January 17th, our original meeting date.  Everyone is invited to attend the ceremony.  We would love to see you there.  It will be held at 6 pm in the training room. 

Our very own Public Affairs Officer Dan Dean, known for his participation in the instantly famous WCPD Lip Sync Challenge video, will be presenting at the January program meeting.  The topics of his presentation are a 2018 Recap of the WCPD along with Public Safety information.  It is shaping up to be a meeting you won’t want to miss.  So, mark your calendars and come join the fun.

Regarding the election for Sergeant-At-Arms, Communications Director and Member-At-Large (2), we will not be sending out ballots.  Since the four open positions are all uncontested, the formality of voting is not required.  Per the West Chester Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association By-Laws, Article III., Section 3.1 states “Robert’s Rules of Order” shall govern the Association in order of business.  Robert’s Rules of Order states “When there is evidently no opposition, the formality of voting can be avoided…”.
