Police Memorial Service – 5/15/2018

Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week is an observance in the United States that pays tribute to the local, state, and federal peace officers who have died, or who have been disabled, in the line of duty. The Memorial takes place on May 15, and Police Week is the calendar week in which the Memorial falls.

Our West Chester Police Department held a memorial service to remember those officers who gave their lives in service this past year.  The ceremony included a proclamation from the Board of Trustees, a renewal of their Oath of Office by all officers in attendance, and a placing of a wreath in memory of late officers.
